First time I went fishing was on the River Thames in the school holidays, I went with a couple of mates with a hand me down rod and a multiplier reel. Needless to say I blanked but went back down the next day and managed to catch a little perch and I was hooked. I quickly moved on to carp fishing and spent the rest of that autumn and winter trying to catch my first carp, I finally managed to the following summer and thats when the buzz really started.

After flirting around with day ticket waters with relative success but never really focus on one water. Last year I managed to get my first syndicate tickets on a water in the Colne Valley, I enjoyed a good first year with fish to 32lbs. I also spend a lot of time at the local park lake which is days only water and brilliant for keeping mobile and finding the fish, I had fish to 33lbs last year, also where I managed to catch my UK PB at 37lbs 8oz.

My preferred style is bollie fishing I like spreading the baits around a large area getting the carp searching out my bait. A lot of this is done on quick overnighters between work or day sessions, however I do like to sneak in a few longer sessions where possible.

I was introduced to Eclipse baits by a friend and had the chance to go to the factory and meet Dave and some of the lads, I paid my money and took some of the baits, I couldn’t believe the results they produced, quick bites, multiple takes really out fishing other bait I was using at the time. I have every confidence in the bait and feel it will give me an edge going into the new season to catch my Target fish which is a fully plated from my syndicate around 35lbs which is out of this world and a orginal 40lbs common out of the park lake which is just a colossal creature.
