Here at Eclipse Baits we get many e-mails and letters over the course of the season but we thought we would share a recent one from Chris Rainbow, whom is a bailiff over at the extremely popular Birds Green Fishery in Ongar, Essex. Many thanks for your kind words Chris and we hope you continue on your great run of fish!
Hi Ian James asked me to send you a quick summary of my first session with the nut mix. Thanks for sorting it out for me. It looks lovely and smells good enough to eat and ive already got faith in it from just one outing so hopefully it will continue to deliver the goods for me. I did a quick over nighter after work on Birds Green. Set up in the dark and flicked a couple of the pop ups out onto spots that usually produce a few bites with small sticks of crushed up nut mix bottom baits. It was freezing cold with the air temperature around 2 degree’s so I wasn’t overly confident and catch reports from the lake were that it had been very slow over there with only a handful out in the past few weeks. Anyway I had just finished eating dinner whenI had my first take which turned out to be a nice mid double mirror. This then continued all night with fish to around 17lb. I got no sleep and froze my bits off but finished with 14 carp on the bank. Not bad going for January. Weather permitting I may head over to Carthagena on Friday and give it a go over there. All in all im very impressed by the quality of the bait and it definitely seems to work in the cold water. Kind regards Chris Rainbow
